Experience
Among the research and development projects carried out many are related to maritime safety in general, and in particular to the development of complex systems, application of advanced technologies, and the determination of performance and educational criteria directed to seafaring professionals.
Investigation projects in programmes financed by the European Union COMMISSION include EURET, EUREKA, HALIOS, MACNET-FORMAC, Fourth and Fifth Framework Programmes, in association with prestigious companies and institutions, and specific projects (PHOENIX, MASIS, METNET, ATOMOS ...) funded by General Directorates of the European Union Commission such as DGV, DGTREN (ex DGVII), DGXIV and the European Parliament.
CETEMAR is a member of international associations, the Hydrographic Society, AMRIE and ACRSO (Atlantic Centre for Remote Sensing of the Oceans) and are Founder Members of the SPANISH INSTITUTE OF NAVIGATION.
